LEC offers structural engineering services for inspection of existing structures. Non-destructive testing, in some cases, can provide the information necessary to evaluate the condition of existing structural elements. Structural assessments will reveal damage caused by a variety of factors, including high winds, flood waters, ground settlement, insects, and other causes. Structures which are sound can be issued a structural engineers certificate, which is often required for builders risk insurance.

An inspection may be needed or required after the structure experiences:

• Extensive Termite Damage
• Settlement

A structural inspection is often the first step to designing a renovation or repair.

We have extensive experience with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) and can provide third party inspections of FRP that is installed by a contractor.
